The Northeastern Section of the ACS (NESACS) consists of over 6000 members. The NESACS is a very active local section of the ACS with members involved in a numerous aspects of chemistry from academic to pharmaceutical to biotech and everything in between. With the large number of pharma and biotech companies in the Northeast, there is a strong section interest in science related to these sectors.

The NESACS continues to sponsor local scientific meetings of interest to the general scientific community.

The next meeting is to be rescheduled for Spring 2012.

5th Advances in Chemical Sciences Symposium at The Royal Sonesta, Cambridge, MA. This symposium will feature new synthetic methodology and medicinal chemistry.
